YUM! Alkalising Smoothie.

Have only just started to understand the concept of having a more alkaline system, opposed to an acidic. There's nothing more refreshing that alkalising smoothies too!

3 ripe bananas
1 cup frozen strawberries
2 cups shredded kale
2 teaspoons spirulina
1 inch fresh ginger
Pinch of each: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg
1.5 cup water (or to your liking)


Add all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. 

Cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg not only make the smoothie taste amazing, but also contribute to the anti-inflammatory effect of this amazing drink. Plus, cinnamon helps balance blood sugar levels which is vital for staying energized all day long.
